Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before leaving a timepiece in our care or making use of our website. By booking a service or using this site, you agree to the conditions set out below. If anything is unclear, we are always happy to discuss before any work is agreed.

1. About Tickwright

Tickwright operates as a watch repair and restoration workshop at 128/14 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand. We offer bench servicing, cosmetic restoration and collector care for mechanical and quartz timepieces. Our services are provided on a professional basis by experienced bench technicians.

2. Accepting a Service Engagement

A service engagement begins when we have received your timepiece and both parties have agreed in writing (including by email) on the scope of work and the applicable fee. No work commences until that agreement is in place. We will always provide a written condition note before proceeding so you understand exactly what has been proposed.

We reserve the right to decline work we consider beyond the scope of our current capabilities or equipment, and will communicate this to you promptly.

3. Estimates, Quotations and Pricing

All prices quoted are in Thai Baht (฿) and inclusive of bench labour unless otherwise stated. Displayed service prices represent the standard scope for that service tier. If an inspection reveals additional work that may affect the final cost, we will contact you to discuss before proceeding.

Quotations are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. We are not responsible for price changes in parts sourced from third-party suppliers after a quotation has expired.

4. Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are given in good faith based on current workshop capacity. They are not contractual commitments. Delays may occur due to the sourcing of specialised parts, the complexity of the work discovered during disassembly, or periods of high demand. We will keep you informed of any significant changes to an expected timeline.

5. Care and Custody of Your Timepiece

We treat every timepiece entrusted to us with the same care we would give our own. While a watch is in our custody we take reasonable precautions to keep it secure. In the unlikely event of accidental damage caused by our own negligence during a service, we will discuss an appropriate resolution with you directly.

We are not responsible for pre-existing undisclosed damage, deterioration inherent to the age or condition of the piece, or damage resulting from inaccurate information provided at the time of intake. Our intake condition note documents the state of your watch when it arrives and serves as the reference point for any discussion.

6. Collection and Uncollected Items

We will notify you when your timepiece is ready for collection by the contact method you have provided. Items should be collected within sixty (60) days of that notification. We reserve the right to charge a modest storage fee for items held beyond that period, of which we will give you fair advance notice. Timepieces uncollected after six (6) months, following reasonable attempts to contact the owner, may be dealt with in accordance with applicable Thai law.

7. Payment

Payment in full is due on collection of the timepiece or, for the Collector Care Programme, on the schedule agreed at the time of enrolment. We accept cash (Thai Baht), bank transfer and major debit or credit cards. Timepieces will not be released until any outstanding balance has been settled.

8. After-Service Period

We stand behind our bench work. If you notice a concern directly related to the service we performed, please contact us within thirty (30) days of collection. We will assess the watch and, where we determine that the concern relates to our work, carry out any necessary adjustment at no additional charge. This does not apply to wear from normal use, accidental damage after collection, or pre-existing conditions noted at intake.

9. Collector Care Programme

The Collector Care Programme is an ongoing arrangement covering scheduled servicing, condition monitoring and digital record-keeping. Specific terms for scheduling, scope and renewal are agreed individually with each client at enrolment. Either party may give thirty (30) days' written notice to end the arrangement at any point; we will complete any service in progress and provide a final copy of the client's digital records at that time.

10. Use of This Website

Our website is provided for information purposes. You may use it to learn about our services, make an enquiry and read our published content. You agree not to use the site in any way that is unlawful, disruptive, or harmful to others. We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on this site accurate and current but do not warrant that it is complete or error-free at all times.

All content on this site — including text, photographs and design — belongs to Tickwright or its licensors. You are welcome to share links to our pages; reproduction or use of content for commercial purposes requires our prior written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, Tickwright's liability in connection with any service is limited to the fee paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of enjoyment or sentimental value, except where caused by our own proven negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably between us will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with the date of last update. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
